Evergreen UU Fellowship Retreats

Women's One Day Retreat: "A Thousand Names for Joy"

Saturday, September 24, all day
Sacred Groves, Bainbridge Island

$15 / person
We’ll be using as our guide A Thousand Names for Joy: A Guide to Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are by Byron Katie. In this book Katie comments on the Tao Te Ching and its relevance to issues of life, death, love, work and fulfillment. We’ll listen to audio excerpts and explore our responses with personal writing, group discussion, and meditation in the woods around Sacred Groves.

New Retreat for Women & Men: "What Am I Called To Do Next?"

November 7, 8 & 9
Whidbey Institute, Whidbey Island
$270 per person
Rev. Bruce Davis
Contemplating changing careers, moving into retirement or negotiating some other life transition? Are you wondering where to go from here? Are you ready to identify your calling and begin living from that knowing?  When you operate in your calling, you will have a deep sense of peace and an overwhelming feeling of personal satisfaction. You will find that you are just one piece of a larger puzzle and that your impact will be felt by more than just you. And how can you help others in your life to hear their calling in the midst of life transitions? This retreat will offer a small group experience in support of each person's unique journey. If there are more people who want to participate than the retreat will hold, we'll simply offer it again soon. Retreat cost will cover food and housing for two nights.

$135* / person  *Some financial aid is available and contributions to financial aid are appreciated.
We are always in transition, whether it be starting or ending a relationship, leaving or beginning a job, having kids at home or gone, or any of the changes we continually experience.  How do we reinvent ourselves at every turn of life’s path?  What does it mean to reclaim and identify ourselves not in relation to our roles with others but solely in our own images? Our retreat is always a time for connecting together, taking a respite for our busy lives, being pampered by our wonderful chefs, and having fun!  All women are welcome. Limit: 21 women.
